Commercialisation Workshop and Networking Function

NHMRC and the Department of Industry are jointly organising a workshop aimed at ‘bridging the gap’ between proof-of-principle research and further commercial translation. The workshop will be held in Melbourne on 14 November and health and medical researchers from Monash are invited to attend.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for researchers to hear from AusIndustry experts, who will present case studies and provide advice that will help researchers to better understand the pathways to commercialisation.

A networking function will also be held on the preceding evening. The function features a keynote address by Professor John Shine AO and presents an opportunity for enterprising researchers to connect with those with experience and interest in commercialising health and medical research.

NHMRC intends for the workshop to expand the networks of enterprising researchers, critical to future prospects of commercial success. Details of this year’s workshop and networking function can be found here.
