The Macular Disease Foundation Australia would like to advise that the closing date for applications for the Blackmores Dr Paul Beaumont Research Fellowship has been extended to 5.00pm EST on 21 July 2014 for electronic submissions, with hard copy confirmations to be received by 23 July.
This fellowship is open to researchers based in eligible Australian institutions to pursue research into nutritional and/or lifestyle aspects of macular degeneration, consistent with the mission of the Foundation to reduce the incidence and impact of macular degeneration.
Two minor changes to the conditions have been made:
- Cash and in-kind contribution of the applicant’s host institution matching the Foundation’s contribution is preferred, however a contribution nominated by the applicant will be considered if deemed reasonable.
- The recipient should ideally spend 75% of their work time on the project however, an amount of time that fits the applicant's employment circumstances and is deemed reasonable, will be considered.
In 2015 the Foundation will provide a two-year Research Fellowship of AU$50,000 per annum (excl GST). Full instructions, application forms and other relevant attachments can be downloaded at http://www.mdfoundation.
