More than 300 student ambassadors worked from early in the morning until late in the afternoon, greeting an unstoppable tide of visitors with warm smiles, plentiful advice and useful course brochures.
Alongside them, 140 staff from every corner of the Faculty were on hand in various venues at Monash's Peninsula Campus on Saturday, and Clayton and Caulfield on Sunday. Professors did not limit themselves to the lecture halls, answering future students' queries - from tricky, subject-specific questions to directions around the campus.
The harmonious strains of the Monash Medical Orchestra drew visitors into 27 Rainforest Walk, perhaps despite the building's unusual blue and red exterior.
The day began with brilliant sunshine taking the edge off Melbourne's characteristically icy winter wind with clouds rolling in later in the day, but the dropping temperatures did not dull the spirit of the day, with venues packed until the very last moment.
