Ally Training Workshop: addressing sexual orientation issues in health care training and delivery

The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences is offering a workshop addressing sexual orientation and gender equity issues in health care training and delivery on Monday 31 August from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Speaker, Gene Moore, is a Student Rights Officer with the Monash Students’ Association and has a long-standing interest in defining the impact of sexual orientation issues in health care delivery.

The workshop is being delivered in person from the School of Rural Health Bendigo and streamed to all SRH sites using Zoom. See the attached invitation for details.

Who should attend?

This workshop is targeted at academic and professional staff supporting students in training, as well as students and staff seeking awareness of potential influences on their own practice.

This workshop is being promoted by the Diversity and Inclusion Committee chaired by Associate Professor Jenny Newton and organised by Dr Jane Bourke and Melissa McNicol.
