Diversity and inclusion: Indigenous photo competition

The 2015 Diversity and Inclusion Week will be held from 31 August 2015 to 4 September 2015, providing an opportunity for Monash staff, students and visitors to engage with and celebrate its commitment to social justice. The FMNHS Diversity and Inclusion Committee is planning activities and events to celebrate this special week within the faculty.

The photo competition is a key initiative organised by Associate Professor Karen Adams and Associate Professor Jennifer Newton.

The competition organisers are looking for photos that show friends, colleagues, partners or families that include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from diverse cultures. Along with the photo, organisers would like to know a bit about how you or the people in the photo met. Selected photos will be chosen to promote diversity in the FMNHS at Monash University.

To enter, you must

• Work or study in the FMNHS at Monash University
• Follow the photo brief
• Enter a photo between 1.5 and 8MB in JPEG format (phone or camera photos are fine)
• Upload your entry here

Judging: 

A panel including an Indigenous photographer and Indigenous staff from Monash University’s FMNHS will judge the photos.

Prizes:

1st – $250 

2nd – $200

3rd – $150
