ASMR science in the cinema 2015

Watch the movie then join our expert panel in a discussion about the REAL science behind the story.

This year we will be screening the 1987 science fiction cult classic Blade Runner followed by a discussion focussing on synthetic biology (artificial life).

The evening will be hosted by the amazing Dr Andi Horvath (Podcaster and Research Raconteur) with very special guests Dr Peta Clancy (Independent Artist and Researcher, Monash University), Dr David Nayagam (Research Fellow, The Bionics Institute), A/Prof Megan Munsie (Scientist and Ethicist, The University of Melbourne and Stem Cells Australia) and Joav Niran (Cochlear Implant Recipient and Musician).

This is a public event and all guests are welcome, no scientific knowledge is required! However the movie is rated M so may not be suitable for children under the age of 15.
