Go red for research

Monash would like to promote the first MS Research Australia Red Lab Coat Day!

As part of the launch of the 2015 Kiss Goodbye to MS campaign on Friday 1 May we want to show the amazing MS research teams we have in Australia and promote your valuable work, via an activation of Twitter and traditional media.

As you are aware Kiss Goodbye to MS is an initiative of MS Research Australia, and seeks to empower those with MS, their friends, family and colleagues to raise vital funds for MS research. They now want to reinforce where those important funds from this campaign are directed to. And we would love your help with this!

Who: They would love you, your team and your institution to get involved with their new initiative Red Lab Coat Day!

What: With support from Bayer, we have some red coloured lab coats – and we want photos of you wearing them!

They hope to promote Red Lab Coat pictures via Twitter featuring yourself, your research team or your academic/research institutions - either using your own twitter account or your Institution’s twitter account - to highlight your involvement in MS research. Photos can link to the hashtags #Redlabcoatday #KissGoodbyetoMS #msresearchaustralia.

Why: The aim is to profile MS researchers – and drive a conversation on the importance of research into MS and the advances seen as result of this important work. It’s time to showcase the extraordinary efforts of Australian MS researchers to help raise awareness of your efforts and contribution on a global level.

When: 11.00am on Friday 1 May 2015.

What You Now Need To Do:

1. Firstly, let them know that you would be happy to participate by the end of this week. That will ensure a kit of Red Lab Coats and instructions are delivered the week commencing 27 April.

2. Read the attached brief and follow the simple steps to get your team involved.
