The 2015 Moodle workshops will be kicking off in February, led by Better Teaching, Better Learning Educational Technologies Training Coordinator Debra McCormick. Click on the links below to view workshop content, session dates and to book:
Moodle Basics
This session will assist people who have never used Moodle to become comfortable with the basic functions they will need to know, regardless of their role. The skills attained in this session will create a foundation for more advanced sessions.
Moodle Fundamentals: Communication and content creation
This workshop will provide Academic and Professional staff with an understanding of the resources and activities available in Moodle and how to create or upload them to units.
Moodle Fundamentals: Assessment
This workshop will provide Academic and Professional staff with an understanding of the assessment activities available in Moodle and how to create or upload them to units.
Moodle Marker
This module is for academic staff whose primary interaction with the Learning Management System ( LMS) will be through marking and grading student's assessment tasks.
Moodle Gradebook Administrator
A Moodle Gradebook Administrator is someone who has primary responsibility for marking
assignments available for groups of markers, and ensuring the grades are correctly entered into the Gradebook.
Prerequisites: Completion of Moodle Basics
Plus: Info sessions on ‘What’s new in Moodle 2.7 and Turnitin’
To complement the Moodle workshops, the MNHS eLearning Services Team with George Kotsanas and Marissa Viray-Carlos will be running one-hour lunchtime information sessions on “What’s new in Moodle 2.7 and Turnitin” on the following dates:
Clayton Campus - February 10 | 12pm-1pm | Lecture theatre S9; February 17 | 12pm-1pm | Lecture theatre S2
Peninsula Campus - February 11 & 18 | 12pm-1pm | Lecture theatre A1.17
The info session will highlight the changes to the interface and new functionality introduced by the 2.7 upgrade. This will also include the changes to the Turnitin module.
