Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor (Professionalism) Part-time

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer (Professionalism) - education-focused or an Associate Professor (Professionalism) - education-focused position in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.

You will play a key leadership role in guiding policy development around professional behaviour and fitness to practice for health science students. You will have responsibility for monitoring and advising the faculty and school on matters relating to the professional registration of health science students. Working closely with the Deputy Dean Education and Deputy Dean MBBS, you will have a lead role in initiatives to promote and develop high-level professionalism as a key attribute of Medical and Allied Health Graduates of Monash University. You will advise campus-based and hospital-based clinical discipline leaders regarding support processes for students in difficulty and guidelines regarding fitness to practice.

If you have a MBBS degree or qualifications with specialty qualifications in Psychiatry and/or Clinical Psychology and strong ability to build, influence, manage and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the University, faculty and community, we encourage you to apply.

Excellent high-level communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, coupled with a highly developed understanding of the interaction between health, social functioning and professional practice, is essential.

Appointment will be made at a level appropriate to the successful applicant's qualifications, experience and in accordance with classification standards for each level.

This appointment is for 0.2 - 0.4 FTE to the Faculty, fixed term for a period of two years at Academic Level C or D as appropriate. The appointee will also be expected to undertake teaching, research and administration duties consistent with her/his substantive academic appointment within the faculty
