This lecture reviews recent work from laboratory work using human psychophysics to investigate multisensory temporal recalibration. Using inter-trial analyses with audio-visual stimuli the research shows that temporal recalibration can occur extremely rapidly: a single, brief asynchrony is sufficient to produce strong recalibration effects.
