Motor control and motor skill learning are frequently compromised in people with basal ganglia disorders such as Parkinson’s’ disease and Huntington’s disease. This presentation explores recent findings in movement rehabilitation in Parkinson’s disease, based on models of basal ganglia control in health and disease. Gait disorders and movement disorders are a focus.
