BOMP Annual Symposium: Advanced Fluorescence Microscopy

The Advanced Fluorescence Microscopy Symposium will be a mix of technical, plenary and advanced techniques seminars. ECR & students will also be selected for posters and oral presentations.

DATE: Friday 12th September 2014

TIME: 1-5pm (Registration from 12:30pm)

WHERE: Bio21 Institute, 30 Flemington Road, Parkville

TECHNICAL SEMINARS: BOMP staff will guide you through
how to use fluorescence microscopes to get the best quality
images and how to analyse them after.

ADVANCED TECHNIQUES: Researchers present their use of
spectral unmixing, image deconvolution, FRAP, Superresolution
(3D-SIM & dSTORM) and laser micro-dissection.

ORAL & POSTER PRESENTATIONS: Selected from abstracts
submitted by ECR & Students. Cash prizes are available
($200 for best Oral, $100 for best poster). Submit here

PLENARY TALK:, “Seeing How Life Starts: Quantitative
Imaging in Living Mouse Embryos”. Dr Nicholas Plachta,
