Neuroscience Seminar: The prefrontal cortex-basal ganglia circuit and disorders of decision-making

Friday 4 July, 3-4pm Building 64, lecture theatre South 1, Clayton campus

Bernard W. Balleine, Professor and Australian Laureate Fellow, Brain & Mind Research Institute, University of Sydney

Disorders of the basal ganglia are commonly associated with problems in motor movement. There is, however, a rapidly developing literature linking regional changes in basal ganglia with severe cognitive and emotional symptoms including deficits in the control of voluntary action. See attached flyer for details.
